UW-CAMERA-CASE
Idea: Creating underwater movies for the open air festival Nachtdigital
Realisation: 6mm strong and transparent PMMA plates were used to build a underwater house that shall
keep a small HD-movie camera recorder dry. The camera will be placed through a hole on the back-
side of the body. The hole will be sealed with a silicon sealing ring placed with a second back plate

MULTISCREEN PROJECTION TOOL
Idea: A programme which allows the control of the projection of a group of independent positioned canvases. These canvases can be iluminated with one or more video projectors. Graphics and video sequences can be used and coupled with a MIDI sequenzer to the beat pulse to generate a uniform of sound and image. It might be possible to couple the NOISE MACHINE and the MULTISCREEN PROJECTION TOOL. Click on the images below to get a larger view.
NOISE MACHINE
Idea: The idea of the sound synthesis is following to let arise a rhythm from a melody. The rhythm can be coupled with MIDI, digitally filtered and resampled again. In future it is planned to integrate a video sequencer into the GUI to work audiovisually on an experimental base. Therefore various functionalities are inserted which can be discovered playfully and be used experimentally to generate new sound worlds. Realisation: A combination of a sequenzer patch with 6 samplers of each patch was developed within MaxMsp. The Sequenzer offers to 64 clock pulses and goes to 300 BPM. The sampler maximum of 16 beats can be recorded inside or externally, fltered and changed in the play back area. Furthermore the machine contains various little functionalities like Envelope, Reverse or RecordToDisk

Realisation: MaxMsp and Jitter allow sequential controlling and picture processing. This tool were built for 27 screens positioned in a 9 to 3 matrix, but is customizeable adaptably to any other matrix.

LED DRIVER PANEL
Idea: Drive LEDs (Monocolor or RGB) with the Arduino Diecimila microcontroller board, each LED is controlable and programable using Processing or MAX MSP. The aim of this project is to build a modular panel to have more possibilities in connecting the LEDs, like an LED wall, a LED table or something like this. Realisation: Using the Arduino Diecimila or MEGA to control the TLC5940 (Texas Instruments). This IC has the possibility to drive 16 LEDs with PWM. It is also feasible to link more than one of the ICs together.
Actually it is planned to connect 12 ICs for driving 192 LEDs. This can be 192 Monochrome-LEDs or 64 RGB-LEDs.

MeSH MaPPer software application
Idea: The MEsH MaPPER combines our experience and our creativity in performing visuals collected within the last years. The software enables you to project your visuals on up to 20 surfaces equal you are using one or more single screens or if you are working with a lot of surfaces on a complex 3d geometry. The visual content will be mixed by use of three video players, a live input or an effect generator. Playable visuals can be video files and graphics. All are mixable like the Edirol V4 VJ mixer. Just by a simple click you can switch between several modi whether you want to display your video on the complete surface, on the edges of the surface or both. One of the key features of the MEsH MaPPER is to map visuals on simple 3D geometries like a plane, a sphere or a cube as well as on complex .obj files from your favourite 3d application. These objects can be scaled, moved and rotated in real time in a 3D space and can be used finally as texture for the meshes. The MEsH MaPPER can be controlled manually or automatically due to programming it with the embedded editor. The integrated beat sequencer can synchronize your programmed automation to the beat of your music. Furthermore the MEsH MaPPER can control the following parameters of your stage lights: manual color setting, the color setting by visual content, strobe, dimmer, gobo, focus and position as being used to control movingheads, led pars and normal pars. Finally it is possible to adjust the color of text and background of the GUI, depending on your environment or mental status.

Cube Mapper software application
Idea: Cube Mapping is another way in projection. Here will be used three-dimensional cuboids / cubes as projection surface whose number is actually limited to a maximum of 20. Every body that shall be illuminated have to be positioned in that way, that in each case three sides of the body can be used as a projection screen. Like the multi screen software also in this case every projection surface can be controlled separately by the specially developed software. To use all sides of the body as a projection screen another projector which is placed compared to the other is necessary. Therefore all surfaces of the body can be irradiated but the number of the bodies thereby decreases to maximum 10 pieces.
